Within Walking Distance
We have a hiking trail to the East Rim Overlook at Leonard-Harrison State Park.  From there you can hike to the bottom of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.

           

Animaland is next door.  Not only will you find a delightful zoo, but also the Official Grand Canyon Gift Shoppe.

Within a Short Drive

Wellsboro (the closest town) will capture the hearts of anyone who enjoys 'the way it used to be' with its authentic gas lighted streets. Events and Area Info.

Rails-to-Trails
 follows Pine Creek through the canyon for approximately 54 miles.  All of which may be walked or ridden on bicycle.  Darling Run access area is within a few miles of the campground.  Pine Creek Outfitters have bicycle rentals and a bike shuttle.

If you need to rent a canoe or raft to see the canyon by water, give
Pine Creek Outfitters a call.  If you have your own, they also provide a shuttle service.

There is a covered
wagon ride that goes into the canyon.  For the more adventuresome there is horseback riding, either near the canyon or the mountains.

If you would like to fish Pine Creek or any nearby lake, visit Pennsylvania's Fish & Boat Commission for regulations and licensing  information.

If you would like to sit back and enjoy the view of our countryside you need to take the train ride with it's open air observation car.  They offer excursion or dinner rides.

If you enjoy history, there is the
Pennsylvania Lumber Museum.

Are you a motorcycle enthusiast? Stop in at

Enjoy more of the outdoors at The Tiadaghton Audubon Society's Wildlife and Bird Observation Blind - locally known as
the "MUCK" .

For the hunter, there's Stony Fork Hunts - Hunt wild boar, sika, fallow, whitetail, sheep, elk, red stag, and goats on the preserve year round.

If shopping delights you, stop by the Whitneyville Glass & Gifts, Canyon Cruises, Draper's Bee Apiary,
Wellsboro's Antique Stores, Northwoods Gift Shop with Mini-Golf & Gem Mining for the kids and adults (still with a 'little kid' inside 'em), The Quilters Shop, Needles Quilt Shop, Miller's Purely Maple Farm, Mansfield Cider Mill, Chocolate Factory at Highland Chocolates, or our nearby Oregon Hill Winery.
